In this unit you will read a variety of poems by different poets. For each poem think about how poets use literary and poetic devices to engage readers. You will analyze and evaluate the four poems on the reading list then complete a Choice Board related to them.
Successfully completing each lesson means that you will be able to answer the following essential questions:
How do readers’ personal experiences enable them to connect with poems?
How does figurative language, imagery, symbolism, sensory language help engage readers?
